Integrated provider of clean energy solutions to the C&I sector Catalyst Power Holdings LLC and solar project developer JCD Solar Consulting LLC have entered into a strategic partnership agreement to maximize marketing, aggregation and service for community solar projects.
Catalyst Power has taken a minority interest in future community solar projects from JCD Solar Consulting and will be the exclusive offtake provider for the projects.

Unlike the traditional approach that relies on a single major anchor subscriber, Catalyst Power uses a unique strategy to fill community solar subscriptions. The company recruits a diverse group of smaller companies to spread the benefits of solar energy on a broader basis, saving up to 10% on their energy bills while providing a more secure, resilient foundation for support for community solar projects.
“We are excited to partner with JCD Solar Consulting, LLC to ensure full subscription to community solar projects – and allow small and medium-sized businesses to reap the many benefits of local solar,” said Gabe Philips, CEO of Catalyst Power.
“Catalyst Power is committed to helping commercial and industrial companies access clean energy solutions that deliver savings, and community solar programs are among the easiest ways for them to save money while supporting the local community.”
Community solar projects offer companies a more accessible way to invest in renewable energy and help them work towards a more sustainable future. Catalyst Power, a portfolio company of Texas-based BP Energy Partners LLC, is focused on underserved mid-market commercial and industrial end-user customers.
“We look forward to working with them to reduce the cost of customer acquisition and management, increase savings for our subscribers, and extend the benefits of solar power to more small and medium-sized businesses,” said Donna Jones, Partner and Manager by JCD Solar Consulting LLC.
To date, JCD Solar Consulting LLC has developed 75 MWdirect current of utilities and municipal solar plants with a development pipeline of 100 MWdirect current.
