Residential solar solutions provider SunPower and global solar innovation and technology company Maxeon Solar announced they have extended their supply relationship through 2025. Efficiency premium IBC solar panels, enhancing Maxeon’s presence in the US market.

“The demand for solar energy continues to grow alongside the desire for clean, affordable and reliable energy, and SunPower is well positioned to capitalize on this growth with trusted products and an unmatched customer experience,” said Peter Faricy, CEO of SunPower.

Maxeon expects to sell additional volumes of its Maxeon 6 modules on an exclusive basis, which will be marketed as the M-Series under the SunPower brand in the US and Canada. SunPower also gains the right to negotiate the supply of Maxeon’s future IBC solar panels to ensure the company provides its customers with the latest in high-efficiency solar technology.

The collaboration further solidifies Maxeon’s relationship with SunPower and cements Maxeon’s proven track record of delivering its industry-leading IBC technology.

Commenting on the US energy market, Mark Babcock, interim CEO of Maxeon Solar, said, “High retail electricity prices in 2022, which are expected to continue into 2023, have created an environment where more and more consumers are realizing the benefits of a quality rooftop -Solar system.”

Maxeon Solar was formed as an independent company in 2020 following its spin-off from SunPower. Maxeon modules cover the global rooftop and solar power plant markets through a network of more than 1,400 trusted partners and distributors.
