Solar data provider Solargis announced the opening of its Singapore office aimed at opening up new opportunities and supporting the company’s growing customer base in APAC. Michal Strba, who has two decades of experience in the region, has been appointed CEO of the branch.

China, Japan and Australia are three of the company’s key commercial destinations in the APAC markets. China has proven to be an important growth engine for Solargis in recent years. The company is seeing strong demand for its trusted PV data and software services from solar power producers and investors.
A growing number of solar project investors in Japan now require Solargis’ reliable granular data to help them better understand solar irradiance variability and related financial uncertainty, largely due to the country’s complex island geography. Australia is also a fast-growing solar market and Solargis’ local presence will support the delivery of its data services to local solar investors and operators.
