Sungrow, a leading provider of inverter and energy storage solutions, has launched its latest residential solution during Intersolar 2023consisting of the new 3-phase hybrid inverter SH15/20/25T and the new battery series SBH100-400.

The new battery has a modular structure and each module has a high capacity of 5 kWh. A battery unit accommodates 2-8 modules, while the entire battery system allows up to 4 units in parallel. The modular design, placing one module on top of the other, allows the system to be scaled up to 160 kWh, which is more than enough to meet most residential and small C&I energy needs.

In addition, the battery is designed with 50A high current, which allows a charge of 25 kWh in one hour. The hybrid inverter has a higher power capacity of 15kW to 25kW, complementing high power applications of the whole system.

If the entire residential property is equipped with a load capacity of up to 43 kVA, this complete solution can supply the entire house in parallel operation with the grid. In the event of a power failure, up to 25kVA load can be supported.

In terms of security features, the solution uses AFCI technology with a test accuracy of 99.9%, enabling an arc detection distance of 200 meters and a fast turn-off capability of 200 milliseconds.

Another feature is cloud-based real-time monitoring and management via Sungrow’s iSolarCloud platform. Other outstanding features include an ultra-quiet design (below 35dB in operation), a 10ms seamless transition in the event of a failure, and a module-level battery fire suppression system.

Overall, the development and adoption of this solution reflects the increasing adoption of powerful and intelligent devices, including heat pumps and smart homes. Sungrow is also committed to using its expertise in solar and energy storage technologies to power more advanced applications such as vehicle-to-grid (V2G), vehicle-to-home (V2H) and smart microgrids.
