Solar inverter and energy storage solution provider Sungrow announced that its 1500V string inverter solution has been launched in Myanmar recently launched 20MW solar project Taungdaw Gwin. The Taungdaw Gwin project will be operated on an Independent Power Producer (IPP) and Build-Operate-Own (BOO) basis and is expected to generate 45 GWh of electricity annually.

Although the project is located in a place with abundant sunshine, it is exposed to high temperatures and humidity all year round, which places strict demands on the performance of solar systems.

Sungrow’s 1500V string inverter solution has achieved IP66 protection level and C5 anti-corrosion protection, tailor-made for projects in harsh climate conditions. According to the company, the 1500V string inverter solution always takes efficiency and adaptability into account in the research and development. The inverter features an advanced intelligent MPPT module and is said to be able to reach a maximum efficiency of 99%. It equips the anti-PID and PID recovery function, which can recover performance degradation in the PV modules. It is also compatible with bifacial solar panels and solar tracking systems such as Taungdaw Gwin solar project application.
