Kent County Council (KCC) in England announced the acquisition of the Bowerhouse II solar park owned by Ethical Power Ltd.
Covering an area of 38 hectares, this solar park includes 39,000 bifacial solar modules and can feed 22,000 MWh of solar power into the grid per year. It contributes to approximately 30% of KCC’s net carbon reduction target by saving 6,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually.

Now the solar farm is operated by LASER Energy, part of KCC’s Commercial Services Group. LASER Energy has appointed asset manager Amberside Energy to manage its interests at the site.
“The Bowerhouse II solar farm is a significant and important step for Kent County Council to achieve its net zero targets. Amberside Energy uses big data tools and techniques to perform proactive asset management for the solar farm to increase stability and generation efficiency while complying with industry standards.
