BayWa has announced that it will integrate Tesla’s Powerwall about BayWa re Solar Systemsthe company’s US distribution arm. This collaboration brings together Tesla’s professional residential solar storage solution for a network of leading solar installers expanding their role as residential energy advisors.
The Tesla Powerwall helps reduce dependency on the grid by storing the extra energy generated by solar panels. This stored energy can then be used at times when less energy is being produced, such as at night or during power outages. With an energy capacity of 13.5 kWh and a maximum load of 10 Powerwalls per system, homeowners can store up to 135 kWh of energy right on their property and become their own clean energy powerhouse.

“The addition of the Tesla Powerwall marks an exciting milestone in our commitment to driving the future of energy,” said David Dunlap, VP of Product Strategy at BayWa re Solar Systems. “By adding Powerwall to our world-class storage technology suite, our solar installation partners can enable American homeowners to self-generate while reducing their electricity bills and carbon footprint. We are delighted to have been selected to work together on this venture.”
BayWa re will be adding Tesla Powerwall in California and is already working on expanding availability to additional US states in the coming months.
