First Solar announced its recent partnership with Energix Renewables, which includes the supply of approximately 5 GW_{direct current} of its responsibly manufactured, ultra-low-carbon, thin-film solar modules to Energix projects in Israel, Poland and the United States. These modules will be delivered between 2026 and 2030. Energix has also contracted with First Solar’s recycling subsidiary to manage the disposal of decommissioned modules at the end of their life.

In addition to outstanding product quality, durability, reliability and design, First Solar’s professional recycling services and strong commitment to social responsibility are key factors in winning Energix’s trust once again.

The company claims that its solar panels have one of the lowest carbon and water footprints of any solar panel on the market today. Their goal is to reduce exposure to solar supply chains through the use of differentiated thin film semiconductors, an integrated manufacturing process and a tightly controlled supply chain.

Under the partnership, all end-of-life modules from Energix projects will be processed through First Solar’s pioneering high-value recycling program, which enables closed-loop recovery of semiconductors for use in new modules. In addition, as a member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA)The company adheres to strict criteria and is committed to the rights and well-being of workers and communities.
